Mahler: Symphony No. 4 in G Major
Soprano soloist: Juliet Arthur
(*4*3=3*3/ 4300/timps+4/harp)

(Legend : flutes, oboes, clarinets, bassoons/ horns, trumpets, trombones + tuba ,    so (2222/2200) means 2 each of the woodwind / 2 horns, 2 trumpets, no trombones or tuba / timps) -(* + = means players doubling i.e: picc or bass clarinet)

Terry Driver has decided that the occasion of his 65th birthday would be a good time to pass the responsibilities of Leader to someone else. We're all very grateful to Terry for the many years that he's given sterling service and led us so well, and I have particularly welcomed his help and advice. Happily, Terry's agreed to continue playing with the orchestra, and I'm sure his presence (and humour) will be evident from within the string section.

We're pleased to announce that Angela Pulsford (who led the summer 2009 concert) has agreed to join the orchestra as Leader, and we look forward to working with her.
